Khun Ton Sirisak Chaithes, a human rights advocate, grew up in a Vietnamese-Chinese Catholic family. During his childhood, Khun Ton faced bullying and discrimination based on his gender, racial differences, and physical appearance, as Khun Ton was born without hair. These experiences shaped his awareness of the importance of human rights and became a driving force behind his commitment to advocating for the rights of LGBTQ+ individuals, sex workers, and other human rights issues. Khun Ton’s dedication to these causes continues to this day. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
